About the Tournament
Westlake Tennis & Swim Club
is hosting the
2010 K-SWISS USTA National
Men’s 45 Hardcourt Championships on June 7
through June 13.
Our tournament is a Category 1 USTA
National Championship, as well as being an ITF evnet. There are 4 surface championships for each
age group, Grass, Clay, Indoor and Hardcourt (ours). Ours is
the largest draw of any of the 4 surface championships and has the
deepest field. Last
year’s Singles winner was unseeded James Martineau from Los
Angeles, CA who defeated the #3 seed Desmond McBride from
Valencia, CA. The score was 6-2; 6-4 in a very exciting
match. In the doubles, John Letts and Bruce Man Sun Hing
defeated former #1 ATP ranked Rick Leach and Greg Washer in the
semi-finals 7-6; 6-2 and went on to defeat Ross Hessler and John
Tyrell in the finals 6-3; 6-4. All of these teams will be
returning this year.
We are a family friendly
tournament, and encourage players to bring their families to our
club.
The tournament is open to
the public, no charge, all day.

Player Party - After the
Tournament
The Player Party will be held on
Thursday June 10th,
at 6:30pm, with live music by
The Jack Diamond
Band and food catered by Roma Italian Deli (including beverage service).
Club Members are invited to
welcome the Players and join in the fun!! Non-Player charge for
the Party is $12.
