Westlake Tennis & Swim Club
will be hosting the 2009 K-SWISS USTA National
Men’s 45 Hardcourt Championships on June 28 through
July 4.
This is one of the four
National surface championships for this Age group. The Club has
been the site for this Tournament since 1991.
Westlake Tennis & Swim Club will be hosting the
2009 USTA National Men’s 45 Hardcourt Championships on June 28
through July 4. Last year’s Singles winner was Mike
Fedderly of Palm Desert, CA who also teamed up with Vallis Wilder
of Fort Worth, TX to capture the Doubles title.
In a rematch of the 2007
finals, Vallis Wilder teamed with Mike
Fedderly capturing first in the Doubles competition. Ross Hessler
and Jon Tyrell were finalists.
Many of our Club members
played in the Championships. Louis Lam stayed in the competition
through the Round of 32 after defeating Club member Keith
Glucksman. Other Club players were Duane Hollinger, Dan Burrows,
Mel Sarowitz, Perry Saliano, Cy Nowrasteh, Mitch Turk, Dennis Mestas and Jim Wong.
